              Programs

              Starting in the 2011-2012 season, Sledge Hockey Manitoba will have 3 division that will be offered to players that will allow them to compete equally, based on their skill set and ability. The goal of this is to allow players to develop their skills while playing with other players with similar skill sets. Scroll down to find out which program is best fitted for you.               Registration fee for the 2011-2012 season is $175.00.

              Junior/Recreation Division

              SHM's Junior/Recreation division will focus on the basic skills that are needed to play sledge hockey. This division will be open to all players who are 12 years old or younger, those who require adapted sledges in order to play, or those who need to work on basic skating skills, which will be needed in order to progress to the next division.

              Intermediate Division *NEW in 2011*

              SHM's Intermediate Division is geared towards those that have already gained the skill set that is taught in the Junior/Recreation Division. Intermediate Division is open to those who are 13 years old or older, as well as those who do not have the upper body strength or skill set needed to compete in the Senior Division. All intermediate players will practice with the Senior Division, however, those in Intermediate will have the opportunity to play games with players of the same level.

              Senior Division

              SHM's Senior division is geared towards those who have the upper body strength, skill set, and hockey knowledge that is required to compete at a high level. Senior players will include those who represented Manitoba in last years tournament, as well as those who have excelled in the Intermediate division. Senior players will practice with the Intermediate division, however, Senior players will have the opportunities to play games with players of the same level.

              Players in the program may be required to pay an additional $100 for extra practice ice.
