The Manitoba SledgeHammers competed in the Hendrickson Foundation sledge hockey tournament in Blaine Minnesota; this team was constructed with players from Manitoba, Kenora and Langdon North Dakota; this team battled hard and was led by future all-stars, Alyssa White (currently on the Women's National team, Cooper Vint, Issac Vint, Paul Hamm, Logan Johnston, Elijah Armbruster, Natalia Dobbs, Evan Hesom and Tucker Olson; this team led by Kevin Hamm, and Les McCrae motiviated this squad all the way to the finals; the game plan to keep the highest scoring team off the score sheet was a miracle in the making; strong defensive performances by Alyssa and Cooper kept Wisconsin's leading scorer off the score sheet for a period and a half; it was great to watch the opposing coach squirm as he had to change his coaching tactics. in the end the Sledge Hammers who were exhausted fell 3-1 to the highest scoring team in the tournament. in our opinion the team was the champions;
